Respect for Group Human Rights

The Fuji Seal Group has established in Our Credo - "Each day with renewed commitment we create new value" and states in the Code of Ethics, that we comply with laws and regulations of each country and region in which our business activities are conducted, as well as understand that all business activities are based on the premise of respecting Group Human rights.

FSG respects the human rights laid down in the International Bill of Human Rights (Universal Declaration of Human Rights and International Covenant on Human Rights) and the International Labour Organization (ILO) Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work. We will also support the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights: Implementing the United Nations "Protect, Respect and Remedy" Framework and conduct our business activities accordingly.

For the creation of an employee friendly working environment
Respect for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Within FSG, a diverse, inclusive and equitable workplace is one where all employees, consultants, external workers, customers, business partners, visitors, students and volunteers, whatever their gender, race, ethnicity, national origin, age, sexual orientation, identity, education or disability, feels heard, valued and respected.

We believe that employees are the key to our success and growth, and nothing can be achieved without strong engagement of employees.

We recognize the value of our employees, including all their knowledge, expertise, abilities, skillsets and experience and we believe that the best ideas come from cooperation between people with diverse values and backgrounds.
Inclusion and diversity are the driving force for improving the creativity of individuals and teams and they are an integrated part within our Mission, Vision and Credo.

Group DE&I statement and commitment

We are committed to a non-discriminatory approach and provide inclusion and equal opportunity for employment and advancement in all of our departments, programs and worksites.

With a history dating over 125 years and our current approach within FSG, it is key that our employees appreciate diversity in norms, values, beliefs, customs and points of view. Our employees value and include different approaches and perspectives and consider diversity of thought as an asset to lift us to a higher level.

We believe that when our employees feel included and valued, they will with pleasure and excitement (Waku-Waku) do everything possible to realize our company mission and vision.

A global DE&I Policy has been established. Please see the link to the full policy, with our complete definitions, statement, commitment, and actions.

Global DE&I Committee

The Fuji Seal Group regards "DE&I" as one of its key strategies to ensure sustainable growth, and is actively promoting DE&I initiatives at both the global and regional levels.
In 2023, the Global DE&I Committee was established, consisting of members from each region and department. The Committee is made up of members with diverse, backgrounds, and perspectives. In order to address the issues presented in Global DE&I, the Committee started with an analysis of regional disparities, and then planned activities to gradually correct the regional disparities. The planned activities are being implemented in each region. DE&I Committee meetings are held for regional committee members to discuss issues and share information on activities in their regions, thereby mutually raising the level of DE&I performance in each region.

Our committee activities are divided into 4 categories: Strategy, Culture, Recruitment & Onboarding and Development and Growth. Step by step we are continuously improving deep understanding of our management and employees of DE&I topics, and making sure we are taking proper actions, show pro-active leadership and motivate, engage, and empower all of our employees in a diverse, equitable and inclusive working environment, to enhance even more Waku-Waku (excitement) among all FSG employees.

Activity Reports from Global DE&I Committee Members

Japan

In Japan, we focus on three main areas: work-life balance, skill and career development, and fostering an inclusive company culture.
In FY2024, we published a Childcare Leave Support Book, held roundtable talks, and organized career planning seminars to support employees in balancing work and family life.
We also produced a video to communicate the importance and necessity of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Our goal is to create a work environment where employees feel psychologically safe and are empowered to take on new challenges that contribute to the company's growth.

ASEAN

In the ASEAN region, our DE&I efforts in 2024 focused on raising awareness and fostering inclusion through key initiatives. We provided DE&I training to both employees and managers, including value seminars and workshops on unconscious bias and equity improvement. We launched a regional DE&I newsletter to support continuous learning, and we have incorporated DE&I topics into corporate activities to promote inclusion in our daily work. Next year, we will continue to focus on awareness reform and help employees understand the value of DE&I, and create a more inclusive and "Waku-Waku" (exciting) workplace.

Europe

The European DE&I Committee is actively addressing the priority areas identified in the DE&I survey. The survey highlighted gaps in inclusion for production employees and the need for unconscious bias training for middle managers. To bridge these gaps, we are being launched DE&I Day event, we provided DE&I training to production teams to improve their DE&I awareness, and provided middle managers with tools to better understand unconscious bias and generational diversity. The DE&I Day aims to promote a more inclusive workplace, and enhance employees' sense of belonging and their engagement.

Americas

The Americas region is focusing on the retention and growth of our facilities, and gaining more experience and expertise to provide the best future for Fuji Seal. We are also focusing on motivating our employees by encouraging them to actively participate in our fun and exciting activities and events. These events help raise employees' DE&I awareness and provide an arena for all employees to speak up and create an inclusive workspace. Across the Americas region, we will continue to create and expand the training and knowledge of our WIRED Committee and what we can do each month, quarter, and year to promote Fuji Seal's core values.
