Endorsement and participation in domestic and international initiatives and organizations

In order to realize its vision of "delivering value that is friendly to people and the environment", Fuji Seal Group (FSG) is committed to strengthening its ESG initiatives and contributing to the realization of a sustainable society through its corporate activities. Through endorsement of and participation in domestic and international initiatives and organizations, we are promoting efforts to realize a "sustainable society.

Participation in the United Nations Global Compact

Since July 2021 Fuji Seal Group has been committed to the UN Global Compact corporate responsibility initiative and its principles in the areas of human rights, labour, the environment and anti-corruption.

Endorsement of the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD)

Since June 2021 Fuji Seal Group expressed its endorsement to the recommendations made in June 2017 by the Climate-Related Financial Disclosure Task Force ("TCFD") established by the Financial Stability Board.
In line with TCFD's recommendations, we began disclosing information on climate-related business risks and business opportunities on our website last fiscal year. Going forward, we will continue to reflect this information in our management strategy and further disclose information in an effort to enhance corporate value as we move toward a low-carbon society.

Holy Grail2.0

In October 2020, we joined the HolyGrail 2.0 initiative, which is an inter-supply chain initiative promoted by AIM, the European brand association. This initiative aims to increase the sorting and collection rate by applying digital watermarks and to become a successful example of resource recycling on a commercial scale.

The Association of Plastic Recyclers (APR)

APR is an international plastics recycling association that promotes the recycling of plastics, has its own certification program, and supports a circular economy that ensures recyclability.

Petcore Europe

Based in Brussels, Belgium, Petcore Europe represents the entire PET value chain in Europe, from PET production, to conversion to packaging, to recycling.

Japan Clean Ocean Material Alliance (CLOMA)

The entire world needs to promote efforts to solve the problem of marine plastic litter, which is a new global issue. CLOMA was established as a platform to strengthen cooperation and accelerate innovation among a wide range of stakeholders across industries. FSG has been participating in CLOMA since 2021.

R-Plus Japan, Inc.

R-Plus Japan will promote the development of efficient recycling technologies for used plastics with less environmental impact along with Anellotech Inc. The project launched in June 2020 with the aim of commercialization in 2027 through collaboration across industries, including sorting and processing of recovered plastics, monomer production, polymer production, packaging and container production, trading companies, and beverage manufacturers, in order to contribute to solving plastics issues that are becoming common worldwide.

Sedex

A membership organization that provides an online platform for companies to manage and improve working conditions in their global supply chains. It provides online platforms, tools, and services to help companies and organizations manage responsibly and sustainably, protect workers, and procure ethically.
FSG has been a member since 2012.
